Angelie Purkey, LMFT

Angelie Purkey has been a licensed Marriage and Family therapist since 1994. She is passionate about helping people develop health and wholeness in their lives personally, relationally and spiritually through a collaborative and rich therapeutic relationship. Angelie treats young adults, adults and couples for a variety of issues including communication and conflict resolution, boundaries, stress management and life transitions, grief, self-esteem and personal growth, faith struggles, depression and anxiety, and trauma/abuse (physical, emotional and sexual).
Angelie has a B.A. in Psychology from UC Davis, an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary and is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. She also holds certification in advanced level Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma resolution and the PREPARE-ENRICH inventory for premarital counseling. She is trained in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model. She is certified as a Spiritual Director and facilitates spiritual formation groups through Theodyssey.
Angelie has appointments available on-line or off-site on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in Soquel. She is not contracted with any insurance companies.

Donelyn Culver Miller, M.A., M.F.T.

Donelyn has been a licensed Marriage, Family therapist since 1987. She has a B.A. in Psychology from Westmont College and an M.A. in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling from Azusa Pacific University. Donelyn has worked in the counseling field since 1973, working with juvenile delinquents and their families, licensing and placing children in Foster homes, directing a low-cost counseling clinic and counseling adults, adolescents and children with a variety of clinical issues. Presently she is a clinical supervisor with Advent Group Ministries, a Christian Social Service agency, overseeing the work of clinical trainees and interns. She also is adjunct faculty with Western seminary, teaching Clinical Foundations and Child and Adolescent Therapy. Additionally she is a former co-owner of Relational Resources and is currently part of the Relational Resources Alumni Network. Donelyn specializes in integrating psychological and spiritual health and also has advanced training in EMDR.
Donelyn, her husband Curt, and their four children have lived in the Santa Cruz mountains since 1976. Donelyn has taught lay counselor training classes in Pleasanton and Santa Cruz, facilitates groups and speaks at retreats and seminars.
Jan
Jan Wright, MA, LMFT

Jan is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of counseling experience. She has an M.A. in counseling psychology from John F. Kennedy University (JFKU), is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and is also certified in Basic Level Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for work in trauma.
As part of her training, she worked in the Cupertino School District with elementary and middle school age children and their families and interned at the Parents Center in Santa Cruz providing counseling to individuals, families, children and adolescents. Jan received her license in October 2004 after interning at Relational Resources under the supervision of Donelyn Miller. During her training and after licensure, Jan has had the opportunity to work with clients on a number of issues including substance abuse, parent-child concerns, depression, anxiety, life style changes, and grief and loss issues. She approaches her work from a client centered perspective working with clients to develop and support their unique strengths and inner knowledge and enjoys helping them bring about the growth and changes they desire.
Jan and her husband, Les, have two adult daughters and have lived in the Santa Cruz mountains since 1977. Jan sees clients in Scotts Valley.
